You may submit paper originals:
- for scanning/OCR
- for digital reproduction
- as a source of text/graphics for design/layout
- as a sample of print
- as a sample of design
In all cases except the last one, please make sure that the paper original
which has the highest possible quality is submitted. Here are some of criteria of quality:
- No copy is better than original! Always submit original materials,
not previously made copies if possible.
- Contrast. Choose the original which has the maximum possible contrast.
- Details. Choose the original which has maximum visible details.
Make sure that all gray and light tones you want to scan/reproduce are clearly visible.
- Printed originals consist of small color dots, called raster.
Originals with smaller, less visible dots are preferable.

If quality of paper original is not sufficient to meet your
requirements for reproduction/scanning, additional DTP work might be needed. In some rare
extreme cases bad paper original might be rejected after consideration by our DTP service.
When paper original is submitted as a sample of print, please make sure
that it adequately represents the colors required. It is always a good idea to submit color
samples for all jobs, where the color precision is critical.
If you need a design job done, it will be very helpful to give few
examples of printed materials with the preferred design style. It will reduce the time needed
for DTP job and hence the design charges.
If both digital files and paper originals for the same job are available,
we highly recommend to submit the first. You will always get better quality from files then
from paper copies!
